Jessie Dupree Buras

Jessie Dupree Buras passed away peacefully on February 3, 2023 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of Philip W. Buras. Mother of Wayne Boling (Kimberly), Angela Faye Landry (Rico), Christine Buras (Al), Diane Terrell (Tim), and Becky Viosca (Chuck). Sister of Gloria Ates (Mack), Diana Clement (Joe), and Vicky Beaudean. She is survived by her beloved grandson, Stephen Boling and loving grandchildren, Brooke Picou (Brian), Alex Jenkins, John Jordan Anderson (Taylor), Sara Anderson, James Terrell, Alaina Tucker (Dylan), Madison Viosca, Christopher Viosca, Alyssa Viosca, and Gabriella Viosca. Daughter of the late Willie Ray Dupree and Hattie Mae Corbin Dupree. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jessie was born in Oak Grove, LA and resided in Port Sulphur, LA for many years. She unselfishly cared for her beloved grandson, Stephen and enjoyed her down-time playing Bingo and cooking for her family, especially her signature shrimp stew. She will be sadly missed.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 9am to 11am. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA.
