In 1965, he started his career at Avondale Shipyards. He retired in 2006 as General Superintendent of Test and Trials. He was a Master Shipbuilder with 41 years of service. After the death of his first wife, he married his 2nd love of his life, Nona Lane Boudreaux.

Jeffery enjoyed camping with friends during his first marriage. Later in life, he traveled from Louisiana to Florida, watching his kids play baseball and never missing games. Throughout both marriages, he never missed bringing his wives to all their Doctor and Dialysis appointments. Later in life, he became very fond of his beloved dog, Booker-T. As a father, he instilled in all his sons a work ethic to rival the Best of the Best with a saying, “Let Common Sense Prevail”.

Special thanks to Ochsner Medical Care throughout his later years, Annette Wilson for always calling and checking on him, Mr. Corby Acosta for assisting him whenever needed, and his Grandson, Trent Turlich, for all his help and support until the very end.
