Jeffrey Leo Bonamour

September 12, 1963 — January 6, 2024

Bridge City, LA

Jeffery Leo Bonamour was born in Metairie, Louisiana where he spent most of his younger life living with an abundance of family and friends. As an adult, he made the move to San Francisco where he lived for a time and immersed himself in the lively culture that California had to offer, before ultimately returning back to his home state. Jeffrey was an avid lover of great food, anything outdoors and nature. He adored his family and was always smiling when doing anything family related. He would always make time for anyone in need as family meant everything to him; as did his sweet dog Leo that he inherited from his father.

Jeffrey is preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Sue Golden; his father Leroy Leo Bonamour; as well as his grandparents and a few Aunts and Uncles. He is survived by his loving brother Michael Anthony Bonamour and Michael’s wife Deborah Jeanne Bonamour; whom Jeffrey always regarded as his sister. He is also survived by his nieces; Mindy Clarke(Blake) and their child, Sharlene Ragan(Ryan) and their 5 children. As well as his nephews, Daniel Ramey(Jennifer Parks) and their 5 children, Christopher Bonamour(Kallie) and their 4 children, Aran Ramey and his child, Gary Ramey(Sara) and their 3 children and Edward Ramey and finally his cousin Mona Dunn(Chris).

The family would like to give a special thank you to Charlotte, Diane, Teresa and all those who were so integral in the care taking of Jeffrey in the last few weeks; we are so very appreciative of you.

We would like to take this time to ask that you join us in celebrating the wonderful life of Jeffrey and to say goodbye to the beautiful soul that we lost. Services will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Mothe Funeral Home in Marrero; visitation beginning at 11:30 am with funeral services to start at 1:00pm. After services the family would also like to invite everyone to the Bonamour house for dinner and to reminisce on Jeffrey’s life.
