Jeffery J. Brasset, Jr. peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 57 years to Carolyn Micas Brasset. Son of the late Jeffery J. Brasset, Sr. and Emelda Castaing Brasset. Loving father of Mary Beth Brasset, Carol Ann “Annie” Brasset Stell (Herb), Jeanne Ellen Brasset Roland (Laney) and Jeffery J. Brasset, III (Marilyn). Grandfather of Matthew Steven Stell (Alicia), Sarah Ashley Simon (Spencer), Madelyn Michelle Roland and Jae Hannah Brasset. Brother of Shirleen Brasset Baker Hart (Charlie). Uncle of Keith Baker and Kernie Baker, Jr. Jeffery was the contractor who built his house in which he resided for 47 years. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Air Force. Jeffery was a member of the Lyons Club of Gretna, VFW of Gretna, APA (American Pool Association) and Knights of Columbus. Jeffery was born in Gretna, LA and was a resident of Harvey. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 9:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn South Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
