Jeanne M. Ingram Jenkins

March 6, 1930 — March 11, 2017

Jeanne M. Jenkins passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 in New Orleans of cardiac arrest. She was a native of Marion, Illinois and a graduate of Marion High School, The Lincoln School of Practical Nursing, and later in life the Elva May School of Floral Design. She was a Practical Nurse for the Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Ill., A Senior Dairy Specialist for the Kroger Company in Indianapolis, IN and later in life a Machinist and Office Manager for Allied Aircraft Parts in Van Nuys California. She was devoted to her son and her husband of 27 years, Joe Jenkins, whom she survived by 25 years. They spent 30 years in Southern California where they had met and built a family and she had spent the last 24 years in Southeastern Louisiana to be close to her son.

She is survived by her son Eric Jenkins, his partner Francisco Lopez of Apple Valley, CA. devoted family friend David Boczenowski of Gretna, LA, Her sister Carol Andersen of Buckley, WA, And her nieces Inarose Diane Veatenu of Whittier, CA, Sylvia Jenkins Jackson of Conway, AR. and Shannon Crow Murphy of Franklinton, LA.

In respect of her wishes her remains will be cremated and there will be an informal internment of her ashes next to her husband, Joe at Barker McManus Cemetery, Highway 437 (Lee Road) Covington, LA.
