Jeanie Kay Smith was a loving, selfless woman who touched the lives of many; she had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She led with her heart and fiercely loved and protected those close to it. She enlightened those who came into contact with her about love, acceptance, individuality, and empathy. In her youth, she was known for her skill in softball and basketball, always sharing stories and guiding her grandchildren to do similar. She was an avid pool player and shared this hobby with her siblings, daughter, and many friends. She was everyone's 'Nana' and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who chose her as their grandmother. Jeanie's legacy, love, and heart will live through her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jeanie is survived by her daughter Jerrica Champagne (Lyn); grandchildren Brittany Smith (Michael), Lynn Champagne (Isiah), and Jaelyn Champagne; great-grandchildren Jeremiah Henry, Isiah Sanders, Jr., and Hayden St. Hilaire; stepmother Minnie Williamson; brother Stanley Smith III; sister Becky Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeanie was preceded in death by her mother Geraldine Robinson, father Philhiol Smith, stepfather Eugene Summers, brother Larry Smith, nephew Justin Smith, and niece Lana Smith.
