Jean Smith Adams, a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish entered eternal rest on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Elden James Adams for 49 years. Daughter of the late Walter Sidney Smith and Violet Deemer Smith. Loving and devoted mother of Kerry Adams (Debbie Adams), Keith Adams (Yetta Adams) and the late Debra Adams Arbourgh (Survived by Bob) and Bambi Adams Humble. Grandmother of Chris, Chad, Corey, Brandi, Branden, Derek and Aimee. Great Grandmother of Nick, Bryce, Hayden, Trey, Trent, Shey, Maddie, Melody, Evan, Chase, Cade, Sydney, Easton, Taylor and Megan. Great Great Grandmother of Hayes and Arabella. Beloved sister of the late Gary Smith (Survived by Kathy Smith) and Ronald Smith (Survived by Pat Smith). Sister-in-law of Mae Lonadier and the late Gail Hudnall. Jean is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was a member of the Golden Opportunity Westbank, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Friendship Club, Jazzy Bells (Belle Chasse) and Les Bon Aimee’s. She loved Disney, cruising and camping.
Family and friends are invited to the Visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Belle Chasse Highway, Belle Chasse, Louisiana on Thursday, March 26, 2026, beginning at 9:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
