James William Cates, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age of 80. He is the beloved husband of Betty Jo Cates. He is the cherished brother of Ken Cates (Pricilla), Melvin Cates, Ronnie Cates, Joyce Young, Hilda Cates. He is also survived by nieces, Brenda Sweat and Carol Ann Krapack; other family and friends. Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. in charge of arrangements.
