James (Rabbit) Martin Boyle, Jr., age 70, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 2, 1947. James passed away on March 11, 2017 after battling lung and heart disease.
James grew up in Gretna, Louisiana until relocating to North Carolina, then Texas to be closer to his nephews. James joined the service and served his country honorably in the Vietnam War.
Anyone who met James knew he loved five things the most: the New Orleans Saints, Louisiana State University, the St. Louis Cardinals, his late dog, Buff, and most of all, his family. James was a devoted brother, uncle, great-uncle, friend and diehard sports fan.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James M. Boyle, Sr. and Mary Boyle.
James is survived by his brothers, Donald Boyle and Robert Meyers, two nephews, Tanner and Taylor Boyle, one great-nephew, Maxwell Boyle and one great-niece, Adeline Boyle.
Services will be held this Friday at 8:00 AM, March 17, 2017, to honor James’s life at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058. Graveside service to follow.
