James E. Bonds

James E. Bonds passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of 65 years to Eugenia Langridge Bonds. Father of Duane, Johnny, Vicki, and the late Allen. Son of the late George and Idell Watts Bonds.

James was born on February 28, 1939, 30 miles from Oxford, MS. While living in Memphis, TN, he attended school with Elvis Presley before moving to Belle Chasse, LA. He played football for Belle Chasse High School, served as team captain and was voted “Most Ideal Boy” in his junior year. Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Using his skills from the Air Force, he went to work for Honeywell/G.E. as a Quality Control Computer Engineer, retiring after 35 years of service. He loved dancing with Eugenia and relaxing, looking at western movies.
