Jacqueline Irene Newberry passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1st, 2026, at the age of 83 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born in Portland, Oregon, on March 11th, 1943 to the late Lillian and Leland Viar.

She is survived by her children, Krista Baldassaro, Kiley Peters, John Gorst, Jr., and Jeff Peters; her sister Carolyn Tidwell; her brother Thomas Viar;  and her many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
