Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Collins Comeaux, age 83, of Harvey, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. Beloved wife of the late Ray Joseph Comeaux. Mother of Raylyn Ann Comeaux (John). Grandmother of Lauren Stevens Keating (Sean) and Grant Joseph Stevens (Sophia). Daughter of the late Mildred Rojas Collins and the late Eddie Francis Collins. Sister of the late Lethia Erlinger (the late Gary), the late Eddie Collins, Jr. (Sharon), and the late Ruby Landry (the late Wilbert). Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Born on February 20, 1943, in Lafitte, Louisiana, Jackie lived a life rooted in faith, family, and simple joys. A longtime resident of Harvey, she was the former owner of A&W Catering, where she shared her love of hospitality and was well known across the Westbank for her chicken salad. She found joy in playing Poker Keno and cherished the friendships and laughter that came with it.
A devoted parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague, Jackie’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She also practiced her faith through co-organizing a traveling devotion of Our Lady of Schoenstatt for over 30 years.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, 700 Maple Street, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue in Gretna.
