Irene Routzahn Blank died at the age of 93 on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Howard Blank. Mother of Jan Martinez and Howard Blank, Jr. (Cheryl) and the late Beverly Ward. Daughter of the late Maurice and Ethyle Routzahn. Sister of Edward Routzahn (Gloria). Grandmother of Dr. Jennifer Martinez, Courtney Gillespie (William), Carrie Berthelot, Peyton and Madeline Blank. Great grandmother of Rye and Adler Gillespie, Brayden and Logan Nelson. She was a teacher with the Orleans Parish School System. She was a native of Frederick, Maryland and a resident of New Orleans, LA for over 50 years. Relatives and friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home Tuesday morning from 9am until 11am.
