Hubert Joseph Chiasson Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hubert Joseph Chiasson Jr. (Hubie). He was 88 years old. He was born in New Orleans, LA, on August 10, 1937, to the late Hubert Joseph Chiasson Sr and the late Dorothy Terrebonne Chiasson. He passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Loving husband of Catherine S. Chiasson for 68 years and father of Claire C. Impastato (Vincent), Catherine C. Roy (Chris), and the late Christine C. Strauss (Ben).

Survived by sister Dorothy Chiasson Le Boeuf and brother John O’Neil Chiasson. Predeceased by brothers Robert “Bucky” Chiasson and David Chiasson, and sisters Linda Chiasson Farr and Kathleen Chiasson.

Loving grandfather of Bryon Biondolillo, Richard Hill Jr. (Wendy), David Biondolillo (Shannon), Jason Hill (Cystal), Leslie (Darensbourg (Barney), Alison Lucas (Paul), Alex Biondolillo (Patricia), Margaret Moreno, and Rachel Strauss. There are also 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed art, history, and traveling, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.

His funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA. Visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, and the Mass will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private.
