Westwego

Holli Ann Wattigny-Delaune, age 53, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her immediate family as she was welcomed into God’s care. Born on January 3, 1972, Holli grew up in Marrero, Louisiana, and made her home in Westwego, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.

Holli was the devoted wife of 32 years to Wayne Jude Delaune Sr., and the proud, deeply loving mother of Wayne Jude Delaune Jr. and Allie Nicole Delaune (Richard). Her joyful spirit, quick wit, and ability to light up any room with her laughter made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

Holli treasured her Sunday dinners with family and cheering on her beloved New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. She also loved her annual trips—surrounded by family—to both Lake Tac-O-Leen and Navarre Beach. Through a nearly six-year health journey—2181 days to be exact, because yes, she kept a running tally—she faced each challenge with courage, grace, and the same irrepressible spirit that defined her life. Even on the hardest days, Holli never let her illness dim her laughter or her love for those around her; she made every moment count, teaching everyone who knew her the power of joy and resilience. She celebrated every milestone and shared updates with the same honesty and humor that made her so unmistakably herself—often in language only Holli could get away with. Her giving nature showed in countless quiet ways. Holli was always finding opportunities to help others, organizing small acts of generosity and making sure families in her community felt supported and seen. Her kindness was steady, instinctive, and deeply felt by everyone around her.

She is survived by her husband, her two children, and her mother, Antoinette Sawyer Wattigny. Holli also leaves behind her siblings, Peri Adam (Craig) and Clifton Wattigny Jr.; her cherished nieces and nephews Maci Loska (Stephen), Brandon Adam, and Carson Wattigny; her beloved great-nephews, Caden Loska and Ashton Loska; and her dearest friend and Bonus Sister, Michele May. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom she cherished dearly.

Holli is preceded in death by her father, Clifton Thomas Wattigny Sr., a devoted and loving man who guided his family with strength and warmth. She will now join him, along with many other beloved family members, in Heaven.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Holli’s life on Sunday, November 30th, at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 p.m. A private cremation will follow.

Holli’s warmth, humor, and unwavering love touched all who knew her, leaving a lasting imprint on her family, friends, and community. She will be remembered always, cherished forever, and deeply missed by all whose lives she graced.
