Herbert Ned “Butsie” Rogers passed on to his eternal home with the Lord on Friday, August 10, 2018. Beloved husband of Vada LeBlanc Rogers for 64 years. Father of John Craig Rogers (Karen), Scott Paul Rogers (Michele), Jane Rogers Bladsacker (“Doody” Albert). Grandfather of Kimberly Rogers Daigle (Jimmy), Kelli Rogers, Zackery Rogers (Dana), Jonni Rogers Pellegal (Shawn), Janae’ Bladsacker Camardelle (Jared), Rachel Rogers Frey (Keith), Jacob George Bladsacker, Jace Micah Bladsacker (Leah), Julia Eve Bladsacker. Great Grandfather of Eva and Anna Daigle, Caroline, Camille, and Donovan Rulh, Baylee Murray and Ryan Pellegal, Cameron, Noah, and Presley Rogers, Ruth and Rose Frey, Jared Jr. and Jaci Camardelle, and Eden Bladsacker. Son of the late Camille Sr. and Priscilla Demster Rogers. Brother of Catherine Mataya, Bernadine Mataya, Priscilla Barras, “C.J.” Camille Jr., “Joe” Marcel, Johnny, Roy, and Sherman Rogers. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mr. Rogers served in the United States Army National Guard. He was an electrician by occupation, but after retirement was the owner of B & S Builders where he enjoyed building several custom homes on the Westbank. He could also be found spending many early morning hours conversing with fellow builders and contractors at various coffee houses. He was known for his great sense of humor, his love and concern for his wife and family’s well-being. Throughout the family and even friends he was the go-to ‘fix-it’ man who could repair or invent a gadget to fix anything. He was known to always have a building or other project in process. He loved raising show rabbits as well as other various animals throughout his life. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his “Celebration of Life” Services at First Baptist Church of Gretna,100 Gretna, Blvd. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:45 AM.
