Helen Mallory Roberts

January 5, 1937 — April 16, 2026

Terrytown

Helen Mallory Roberts, 89, of Terrytown, Louisiana, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Born January 5, 1937, in Baton Rouge to Ollie Ben and Doris Mallory, Helen lived a life marked by faith, music, devotion to family, and a generous heart.

A longtime member of Metairie Baptist Church, Helen cherished fellowship and worship — especially singing in the choir and playing piano and organ.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronnie Roberts, with whom she shared more than 50 years of partnership, laughter, and LSU game days. A proud and spirited LSU sports fan, she rarely missed a chance to cheer on her Tigers.

She is survived by her daughter, Robyn White, and granddaughter, Megan McDaniel, who were the great joys of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Gray; nieces Donna Strain and Cyndi Nabors; and nephew David Gray.

Helen will be remembered for her kindness, her steady faith, her musical gifts, and her devotion to many cherished cats over the years. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and in the countless lives she touched with her gentle spirit.

Helen will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 10:00am. Metairie Baptist Church Associate Pastor, Patrick Weaver, will lead a brief response for those in attendance near the Vineyards mausoleum where Helen’s husband, Ronnie, is also interred. Helen and Ronnie’s son, Stephen Duane Roberts (less than 36 hours old), is also buried at Westlawn in the infant section.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Helen’s memory to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
