Harris Joseph Champagne

Harris Joseph Champagne, III, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of the late Shannon Kreamer Champagne. Father of Sherri Beebe (Marcus) and Aaron Champagne (Ericha). Grandfather of Savannah Beebe, Marcus Beebe, Jr. Reilee Champagne, and Matthew Champagne. Brother of Kenny Fontaine (Linda) and Lonnie Fontaine (Cheri). Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Harris graduated from West Jefferson High School and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later worked for West Jefferson Medical Center and Entergy. As an avid Saints and L.S.U. fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. He enjoyed camping, and spending time with his loving family. For a time, he enjoyed volunteering at North Oaks Medical Center. He will be sadly missed.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
