Harold Neil Whitney Sr

Harold N. "PaDa" Whitney, Sr. passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Edna Spagnola Whitney for 58 years. Father of Barbara Whitney Potier (Otto) and Harold Neil Whitney, Jr. (Mathilda). Son of the late Henry Joseph Whitney and Pauline Leche Whitney. Brother of Gladys Delaune, and the late Henry, Albert, Earnest, and Rene Whitney, Ida Faucheaux, Milda Mire, Mildred Broadtman, and Emma Lois Zeringue. Grandfather of Bryan Potier, Cindy Rives, Neil Whitney, Jennifer Mailhos, and Monica Mire. Great-grandfather of Clayton, Christopher, Madison, Emily, Alexis, Daniel, Hunter, Hayden, Holden, Cameron, Mandy, Jacob, and Anna. He was a member of American Legion Post 206 and a lifelong resident of Waggaman, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of VFW Post 7307, the Waggaman Golden Age Club, and Knights of Columbus Council No. 13349 are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 1pm. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9am until 1pm.
