Gwendolyn Simmons Mays

Gwendolyn Simmons Mays passed away peacefully on May 4, 2017 at the age of 64 years. Beloved wife of the late Bobby R. Mays Jr. Mother of Bobby R. Mays III (Gina). Grandmother of Mindi Champagne (Ramsey), Jordan Cook, Jarrid Page and Bobby Mays IV. Great-grandmother of Mikensey and Rylee Champagne. Sister of Rebecca Kuhlmann, the late Hubert Simmons Jr., Ann Crosby, Herbert “Billy” Simmons and Adam Simmons. Daughter of the late Hubert Simmons and Shirley Plaisance Simmons. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
She was a longtime member of the Golden Agers.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
