Gregory George Blondiau, age 52, passed from this earth on April 10, 2026. Greg is survived by the Love of his life Dana Hock Blondiau. Father of Ashlee Blondiau, Hannah Blondiau (Cody Cross), Ashton Galt (Josh), Taylor Kline (Carlee), and the late Britnee Lynn Blondiau. Grandfather “Poppi” of Tucker Galt, Banks Cross, and Camille Kline. Son of Rebecca George Blondiau and the late Leon Blondiau. Son-In-Law of Carol A. Hock and the late Dennis E Hock Sr. Brother of Wendy Guidry (Chris), Kevin Blondiau (Sally), Dennis Hock (MeMe), and Debra Chatelain (Glen). He is also survived by beloved nieces and nephews, amazing friends and family.
Greg was a Captain on the river since the 1990’s. He enjoyed being with his friends and family doing things he loved such as traveling abroad, mud riding, concerts, hunting and fishing. Most of all he loved weekly family dinners, and morning coffee and nightly 5 o’clock somewhere cocktails with Dana, the love of his life. For Greg no adventure was ever too small, he was always ready to “boogedy boogedy” and go wherever life took him. He was the greatest Poppi to Tucker, Banks (little one), and Camille (little lady). Most of all he was a devoted father who made sure we all had everything we needed, no matter how many places he had to go to make it happen. Steadily offering guidance, wise advice, and a love that made each of us, despite our differences, feel truly understood. Nothing was ever to far out of reach to do for his kids at anytime because as he would always say “it’s my job”.
His philosophy was “live today like it’s your last day, because you can’t buy time” and time is the greatest gift of all. Cheers!
