Gregory Michael Black, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2025. Gregory lived a life marked by genuine kindness and an unwavering love for people. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and welcomed. His joyful spirit reflected the heart of Jesus in every room he entered. To know him was to have a friend—steady, caring, and full of joy. His legacy of faith, compassion, and generosity will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know him. Though our hearts feel his loss deeply, we rejoice in the hope of Heaven and the assurance that his light continues to shine through the memories he leaves behind.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Family visitation will be held from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, followed by public visitation from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Following the Memorial Service, the Burial Service will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
