Grazio S. "Sal" DeSalvo

Grazio S. "Sal" DeSalvo, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and longtime resident of Harvey, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at the age of 91.  Born on June 1, 1934, Sal lived a life defined by kindness, service, and devotion to his family.  

Sal was the beloved husband of the late Bernice Marse DeSalvo.  Together they built a living family and shared many cherished years together.  

A proud Army Veteran, Sal, carried the values of honor, hard work, and compassion throughout his life.  He was the type of man who would stop whatever he was doing to help someone in need.  His generosity, selflessness, and willingness to lend a hand will be remembered by all who knew him. 

 He is survived by his loving children, David Marse (Eva), and Sherry Morvant (Arthur); his cherished grandchildren, Shelby Bealer (Robert), and Brandon Marse (Hillary), and his beloved great grandson, Cole Bealer. 

 Sal will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.  His legacy of kindness and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Burial will be privately held at a later date.
