Godfrey “Coo” Barrois September 15, 1947 – November 14, 2025Godfrey “Coo” Barrois passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, and raised in Venice, he made his home in Buras until Hurricane Katrina, after which he settled in Belle Chasse, LA, where he resided until his passing. Coo was the beloved husband of Carolyn LeBoeuf Barrois and the loving father of Kelly Barrois Nicotri (Eric) and Paul Barrois (Giesele). He was a proud grandfather to Kyle Barrois (Chelsey) and Brennan Barrois, and a devoted great-grandfather to Isla and Emmett Barrois. He was the son of the late George E. Barrois and Adele Smith Barrois, and the son-in-law of Doris LeBoeuf and the late Paul LeBoeuf. Coo was the brother of Jerrod, Kenneth, and Karen Barrois, and the late Wendell Barrois, and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Coo worked many years in the oil and gas industry and later owned and operated Supreme Towing Co., Inc., where he built lasting relationships and a reputation for dedication and hard work. Known for his generous spirit and love of the outdoors, Coo enjoyed deer hunting, outdoor cooking for family and friends, watching old western movies and Jeopardy, Mardi Gras, traveling, and greatly cherished his weekly Lunch on Mondays with the DTR group. His kindness, humor, and loyalty enriched the lives of all who knew him. His life and legacy will be celebrated at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70058, on Thursday, November 20, 2025, with Visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by a Mass in the funeral home chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave, Terrytown, LA 70056. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of choice in his honor. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to share in his life.
