Gloria Robert Barbay passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday February 19, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Cyril Joseph Barbay. Mother of Dawn Reeves and Troy Barbay. Mother-in-law of Jill Barbay. Daughter of the late Oswald J. Robert and Amelia C. Robert. Sister of Carolyn Zeringue, Terry Robert, Everette Robert, Aubrey Robert and the late Russell Robert. Survived by 5 grandchildren; Lindsay, Duke and Lenny Reeves, Jordan and Chase Barbay and two great grandchildren Michaela Albritton and Trase Reeves. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish and a parishioner of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment, Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9 AM to 11 AM.
