Gloria Aguiluz

Gloria Aguiluz passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of Leonel Aguiluz for 63 years. Mother of Leonel Aguiluz (Silvia Figueroa-Aguiluz), Carlos Aguiluz (Wendy Pineda- Aguiluz), Erick Aguiluz (Acdonia Perez-Aguiluz), Cristian Aguiluz (Carrie Cotton), Gloria Lizeth Aguilez (Richard McDougall) and the late William J. Aguiluz and Linda Patricia Aguiluz. Daughter of the late Juano and Donaldo Ramos. Sister of Maria Elena Ramos, and Consuelo Capaletti. Grandmother of Brian, Kevin, Carlitos, Lilly, Erick Steve, Allison Nicole, Dylan, Selena, and Sophia Aguiluz, Richard “Lil Richie,” Nicholas, and Aubree McDougall, Jennyfer and Stephanie Aquiluz and Brittany Scianneaux. Great grandmother of Kamila and Kataleya Aguiluz, Kenzie Matherne, Gracelyn Ashworth and Harper Matherne. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Rafael Cortes-Moran for over 20 years caring for Gloria and to Hospice Specialists of Louisiana for caring for her on her last moments of her life. She was a native of El Progreso, Yoro, Honduras and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 11am.
