Glenn Dennis “Pops” Busby passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the age of 94. Husband of the late Ethel “Corky” Richardson Busby. Father of Cindy Busby, Dennis Busby, Dwight Busby, Mary Busby, Robert Busby, Belinda Helmer and Brian Lejeune. Step-father of Melvin P. Richard, Jr. (Lucinda Caldwell Richard), Scot Richard, Peggy Richard, and Chep Richard (Kathy F. Richard). Son of the late Agnes Holden Busby and Hubie Busby. Brother of Troy Busby (Allison), Wayne Busby (Sharon) and the late Eunice Busby and Joey Busby. Grandfather of David Busby and Jessica Busby. Step-grandfather of Jacque Richard, Andre Richard, Sr., Katie R. Arwood (Duanne), Shelly Richard, Sheena Lopez, Rachelle Lopez and Randy Morvant. Great Grandfather of Jasmine Busby, Justine Busby, Alivia Price, Zoey Price, Lylah Price, Kaleb Arwood, Andre Richard, Jr., Gracie Mae Richard, Logan Savoy, Jaysa Rudolph, Randy Rudolph Jr., Mark Davis III, Brennan Davis, Chanel Davis and Daniel Simmons. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and worked for Avondale Shipyard for 30 years. He was a member of the Crescent City Depression Glass & Collectibles, Inc. for over 20 years. He also loved traveling across the U.S. with his beloved wife, Corky, while looking for auctions, flea markets, depression glass shows, bingo halls and casinos. He enjoyed spending time with his considerable extended family. He was a caring and kind man with an enormous generosity of spirit who will be loved and missed by all who knew him. He described himself as “225 pounds of fight, love, and romance”. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 2pm.
