Gladys Toups Richard Savoie, age 92, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Wife of the late Lester J. Richard Sr. by first marriage, and the late Desmond T. Savoie by second marriage. She was a loving companion for 15 years to the late Conrad “Frenchie” Adams. Daughter of the late Hector E. Toups and Anastasia Gaudet Toups. Mother of Karen Richard Guillot (AI), Lester J. Richard, Jr. (Lesa) and the late Kenneth P. Richard (Orfy). Sister of the late Carmen Toups Cheramie, Irby Toups, Lester Toups, Hubert Toups, and Ulysse Toups. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, Cory Guillot (Jenn), Tiffany Guillot Rebaudo (Eric), Nolan Guillot (Staci), Lester Richard III (Haley) Leeland Richard (Katherine), Jessica Richard McReynolds and Kyle Richard (Alix) and 10 great grandchildren, Cody Campbell, Jacob Rebaudo, Sophia Rebaudo, Ava Richard, Maddox Richard, Jonah Richard, Kaleigh Richard, Ayden McReynolds, Myles Richard, and Remi Richard. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was a long time resident of Westwego, LA and spent the last thirty years in Gulfport, MS. She enjoyed going to Karaoke, gambling at the casino and eating out with family and friends. She attended many events with the Sassy Cats, Glamour Girls, Tuesday Girls, Red Hat Flashes, JPPSS Retirees, and Card parties with friends. She was also a guest of the Come Lord Jesus Bible Group who will be saying the rosary at 10:30am. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11am.
