Gilda J. Gegenheimer

Gilda J. Gegenheimer passed away peacefully on January 10, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Beloved mother of Rudy A. Derr. Grandmother of Kaylynn Mae Derr. Sister of Gary Gegenheimer (Aline), Tim Gegenheimer (Sally), Randy Gegenheimer (Karen), Carl Gegenheimer (Lauren), Kurt Gegenheimer (Leverda), Lisa Foret (Kerry) and the late Johnnie Gegenheimer. Daughter of the late Roland and Laura Helmstetter Gegenheimer. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was the longtime bookkeeper and manager at the Dry Dock Café in Algiers Point and through the years, touched so many lives with her kindness and beautiful smile. She will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Passages Hospice or the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center at Ochsner Foundation Hospital.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 9 AM to 1:30 PM.
