Gerard Anthony Souvinette

Gerard Souvinette passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2026, at the age of 69.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton Paul and Mary Myrtle Rogers Souvinette and his sister Alina Moorehouse (the late Richard).

He is survived by his loving wife, Jennie Souvinette, of 45 years, loving father to, Tonya Hardeman Jones (Vernon) and Aaron Souvinette. Loving grandfather to Raven, Rayshell, Dail Baptiste, and Seth Jones. Great-grandfather to Sage Jones. His loving siblings Paul Souvinette, Ellen Hughes (Harvey), and Sylvanie Souvinette Matherne (late Lionel). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gerard was a dedicated boat captain and had a passion for jokes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA, on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11 AM. Interment at Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 11 AM.
