Gerald Joseph Buquet

Gerald “Monster” Joseph Buquet entered into eternal rest on May 10, 2026. Beloved husband of Halyna B. Buquet. Father of Natalie Buquet Trahan (late Glenn Sr.), Stewart Buquet, and Brandy Buquet Williams (Lance). Grandfather of Roger Trahan (Kristina), Glenn Trahan Jr., Courtney Buquet, Cameron Buquet, Collin Williams and Blake Williams. Great-grandfather of Elliot and Link. Son of the late Leon Buquet and Dorothy Blanchard Buquet. Brother of Judith Olivier and the late Dwayne Buquet. Age 86 years, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Gretna, LA. Gerald was a veteran of the United States Navy and United States Marine Reserves. He spent his career in oil field sales until retirement. He was an avid fisherman, model planes hobby, collecting antiques, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
