George S. Pitre

George S. Pitre passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Darnell T. Pitre for 52 years. Father of Sharon P. Dubret (Andre), Stacie P. Dufrene (Chris), and Nicole P. Kieffer (Jeffry). Son of the late Gertrude and George Pitre. Brother of the late Vernon Malter, Shirley Antonini, June Hahn, Raymond and Harold Pitre. Grandfather of Anthony, Amanda, Zachary, Madison, Cade, and Caleb. He was a parishioner of Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church having served as a Eucharistic minister. He was a native of New Orleans, LA. and a resident of Marrero, LA for the past 47 years. Relatives and Friends of the family, also members of Knights of Columbus St. Thomas More Council No, 7226 are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1pm. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10am until 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to either the American Lung Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
