George David Motte III

George David Motte III, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Jacqueline C. Motte. Proud father of 6 beautiful girls, Holly Adams (Mark), Sheri Lacava (Steve), Dana Breaux (Steve), Gina Motte, Melissa Luttrell (James) and Crystal Camardelle (Brad). Son of the late Ruth and George Motte, Jr. Brother of Juanita Doyle, Albert Narvaez, Gail Cassard, Gloria Hill, Karen Motte and the late Alan and Wayne Motte and Anna Barnette. He is survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He honorably and very proudly served in the United States Navy as a gunners mate and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Avondale Shipyards after 35 years of service. He was a native of Wilmington, North Carolina and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1:30pm.
