E. George Beck, Jr. passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Luling, LA, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s and kidney disease. Beloved husband of Myra Gail Land Beck for the past fifty-five years. Loving father of Myra Dee Beck Head (Ben F. Head) and the late Amy Jo Beck Doss of Paradis, LA. Adoring grandfather of Elizabeth Head Hymel (Derek T. Hymel) and great-grandfather of Aimee Elizabeth Hymel and Ava Jo Hymel. Son of the late to Ernest "Ernie" G. Beck, Sr. and Doris Faulkner Beck. Brother of Linda Beck Sweeney of Cannon Beach, Oregon, William Beck (Jackie Beck) of Madisonville, MS and the late Debbie Beck Shirley of Boca Raton, FL. Uncle of Leslie Beck Hambrick.
Age 77 years, a native of Philadelphia, PA, and a resident of St. Charles Parish for the last thirty-six years, having relocated from Columbus, GA. He was an accomplished businessman, who was respected and admired by his colleagues. George was a devoted family man who took great pleasure in his children, grandchild, and great grandchild. He was a dear and cherished friend to those who had the pleasure of knowing him. George was also an animal lover, having had many canine companions throughout his life.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation in the Parlor of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 4 PM until the Memorial Service time at 5 PM.
