Genevieve Dufrene Raffray

After a long courageous battle with cancer, The Lord called Genevieve Dufrene Raffray home on Valentines Day to be reunited with her beloved husband, the late Gary P. Raffray. She was 64. Beloved daughter of the late Junius Dufrene and Mildred Camardelle Dufrene. Loving and devoted mother of Angie Rexwinkle (Kevin), Natalie Raffray (Rafael) and Jason Raffray (Mindy). Beloved stepmother of Melanie Marino (Keith). Loving Grandmother of Kayla Rexwinkle, Breanna Rexwinkle, Austin Raffray and Kamdyn Raffray. Beloved Step grandmother of Seth Vallet, Blake Perera and Lauren Burgess. Great Grandmother of Aisley Walker. Sister of Judy Barrilleaux, Melba Frickey, Clarence Dufrene, Sherran Baldassaro, Gable Dufrene and the late Gail Dufrene and Daisy Gates. Godmother of Stacey Humble (Roger). Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her nephew, Robert “Jr.” Gates and “Lil” Randy Desport. Genevieve was born in Westwego, LA and was a resident of Avondale, LA. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 6PM until 11PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 8AM until 11AM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum (Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery), Westwego, LA.
