Gene Eiskina Galino passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17th, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born in Bridge City, Louisiana, on September 27th, 1947, to Bernice and Arthur LeBlanc.
Gene was blessed with two great loves in her lifetime: her first husband, Patrick Eiskina, with whom she began her family before his untimely passing at just 26, and Ruffino “Boozie” Galino, with whom she shared 28 cherished years of marriage before his passing.
Gene is the mother of Sheila Eiskina Fish (Ricky); the grandmother of Brittany Brignac Billiot (David), and Mylie “Oakley” Fish; and great-grandmother of Adleigh Brignac and Masyn Billiot. She is also survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
Gene was a loving, compassionate, and caring person to everyone she met. She enjoyed being outdoors, walking at the park, shopping, and tending to the rose bushes and landscaping around her home. She found joy in caring for her roses and making her surroundings beautiful. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family and friends, who meant the world to her. Gene was truly one of a kind, loved and respected by so many, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Her spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of her cherished friends and family until they meet her again.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by St. Joseph Hospice and Audubon Health & Rehab.
