Gaylynn Edler Martin passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023. She was a devoted wife of Borge Martin and the late Frank Edler Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Landry. She is survived by siblings, Pat (Daisy), June (Pee Wee), Peggy (Jeff). Preceded in death by siblings, Blackie (Shirley), Bobbie (Terry), Betty (survived by Alice), Butsie (Beverly), Roland (Ann), Billy (Nancy), Mary Jo (Billy), Ray, Debbie and Tony (survived by Donna). She is survived by her daughters Laurie LaVigne (Romain II) and Lisa Billiot (Jerry). Former Mother-in-law of Brian Chiasson and Shannon Thornton, Sr. The best Maw maw to her favorite boys, Zackary Chiasson, Shannon Thornton Jr., Joshua Chiasson and Romain Duronslet III. Also Great Grandma (GiGi) to Greyson Chiasson.She was a Christian in faith and loved going to church at Believer’s Life. Gaylynn lived life to the fullest. She and Borge loved to dance. Never missing an opportunity to be out on the dance floor at The Max Lounge, Schnell’s and Mo’s Chalet with their loving friends. She loved her family, especially her boys. Her contagious laugh and smile will be missed by ALL. “I swear I’ll Love You for the Rest of Mine”.A memorial in honor of Gaylynn will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Believer’s Life Family Church, 501 Lapalco Blvd, Gretna, LA 70056 at 10:00 am. Service to follow at 11:00 am.
