Gail Marie Guillot

Gail Marie Guillot, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on August 31, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Gail dedicated much of her life to serving her community as a crossing guard for Jefferson Parish Schools. Her unwavering commitment to the safety of children exemplified her nurturing spirit and deep care for others.

Gail cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her loving children, Tanya Michel (David), Melissa Plaisance, Stacey Volpi (Wayne), Charles Bourgeois (Candace), and Mickey Bourgeois (Lynn). She also leaves behind a legacy of love and joy in her grandchildren: Gabriel Adams, Joshua Adams, Christopher Michel, Jennifer Michel, Hannah Volpi, Mickey Bourgeois, Jr., Trestin Bourgeois, Brinden Bourgeois, Jonathan Bourgeois, and Guliette Bourgeois, along with her 11 great-grandchildren who brought her immense happiness.

Gail is survived by her brother, Sheldon Bobby Guillot. She was predeceased by her parents, Ovey Guillot and Edith Melancon Guillot, as well as her siblings: Doris Collet, Shirley Gautreaux, Ned Guillot, Ted Guillot, and Norris Guillot.

In addition to her devotion to family, Gail had a deep passion for WWE Wrestling, especially cheering for Roman Reigns and enjoying SmackDown. Her vivacious spirit was infectious, and she knew how to bring joy into the lives of those around her.

A visitation will be held on October 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Marrero - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, located at 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, Louisiana. Following the visitation, a Mass will take place at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, Louisiana.
