Freddie Anthony Evans passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Freddie lived a life defined by hard work, strength, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. As a tugboat captain, he spent many years navigating the rivers with skill, determination, and quiet confidence. Those who knew him admired his steady presence, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others. Above all else, Freddie’s greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love was constant and dependable. His guidance, wisdom, and steadfast support were a source of comfort to those closest to him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances Evans; his parents, Celina and James; and his sisters, Mary Alice and Kathy, and brothers, Emile, Raymond, and Kenneth. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Toni (Tom), Kimberly (Carl) and his nephew Teddy, who was like a son to him, his cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Mackenzie, Saint, Aiden, Cayleigh and Caylyn; his significant other, Audrey, and his brother James, who brought him companionship and happiness; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory. Freddie’s life was a testament to perseverance, humility, and unconditional love. Though his family grieves the loss of the man who anchored their lives, they find comfort in knowing he is reunited with Frances and all those who went before him. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he leaves behind. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a source of strength and comfort. Freddie will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His love remains the steady current that will continue to guide his family for generations to come.
