Frank F. Culotta Jr., a cherished loved one, a dedicated worker, and a true friend to many, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, in Gretna, LA, at the age of 72. Frank led a life marked by kindness, loyalty, and an undeniable humor that brought joy to all who knew him.
Born on December 5, 1952, in New Orleans, Frank was the son of the late Frank F. Culotta, Sr. and Geraldine McCrossen Culotta. Frank attended Archbishop Shaw and O Perry Walker High School. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he played football and baseball with NORD in his youth.
For 48 fulfilling years, Frank worked with the New Orleans Board of Trade and later with the USDA, embodying the essence of responsibility and professionalism. His colleagues knew him as a great worker—reliable and respectful—a true testament to his strong character. But beyond his impressive career, Frank was known for the warmth and love he shared with his family.
Frank’s greatest joy came from spending quality time with his beloved family, particularly during the holidays. He delighted in gathering around the table for Thanksgiving, where his mouthwatering turkey became a cherished tradition that brought smiles and full bellies. Additionally, he had a passion for the guitar, often dedicating hours to learning new songs, which filled his home with melodies and happiness. A fierce New Orleans Saints fan, Frank would eagerly watch the games while enjoying po’boy sandwiches and the company of loved ones.
Frank's personality shone brightly through his kindness and his caring concern for others. While he was sometimes shy, this only added to his charm, as he always made an effort to ensure those around him felt valued and loved. His sense of humor could light up a room, and his eagerness to embrace life resonated in everything he did.
Frank is survived by his lovely wife, Nataliya; his devoted daughters, Kimberly Culotta (Jason) and Kristi Culotta; his caring stepchildren Olga Scott and Bogdan Zhabotin; cherished grandchildren , Jordan Andre` and Jackson Andre`; his great-grandson, Jace Andre`; his supportive sisters, Karen Culotta Regan and Chermaine Culotta Cerniglia, along with many nieces and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of Frank in their hearts, and his legacy of love and laughter will forever remain a comforting presence in their lives.
His family and friends will gather to honor his memory during a visitation on October 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a Mass at 1:30 PM at Harvey - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, located at 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058.
