Frances Lena Brackman lovingly known as "Frannie" passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22nd, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 1st, 1949, to the late Jacquelyn and Richard (Red) Brackman, Jr.

She is the mother of Gary Fourtunia, Jr. (Dawn Umberger); She is survived by her son, Gary, a niece, nephews and her siblings, Evelyn Riehm (Johnny) and Richard Brackman III.

A native of New Orleans, and proud resident of Waggaman for over 66 years, Frances graduated from West Jefferson High School, in 1967. Her Jefferson Parish School Board system career spanned 42 years, serving as an Account Clerk at Live Oak Manor in Waggaman and an Account Clerk Manager in Harvey, Louisiana.

Frannie had a special love for dancing, and it brought her great joy to share that passion with others. She especially loved line dancing, not only for the music and movement but also for the happiness and connection it brought to people. As a line dancing instructor and proud member of the Honky Tonk Stompers, she had the opportunity to teach others, share her enthusiasm, and bring people together through something she loved.

Her spirit and fun-loving nature will remain in the many memories of her cherished friends, YaYa Sisters, and family until they meet her again.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by the Living in Love Care Home and Southern Grace Hospice.
