Felipe Suero, age 102, of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 2, 1922, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Felipe lived a life defined by integrity, class, humility, and unwavering devotion to his family. A hardworking and humorous man, Felipe spent over 50 years as a heavy equipment operator, known for his tireless work ethic and compassionate heart. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 73 years, Ana Jiminez Suero, and a loving father to their six children.

Felipe’s legacy is one of love, service, and generosity. He was well known for his gift of storytelling, his affection for baseball caps, and his deep care for others' well-being. Whether lending a helping hand or sharing a kind word, Felipe’s compassion left a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know him.

Felipe was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Suero and Inocencia Martinez. He is survived by his cherished wife, Ana Jiminez Suero; his children, Felipe Suero Jr., Sonia Suero, Jose Miguel Suero, Manuel Suero, Albert Suero, and Vanessa Suero; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Monday, May 5, 2025 with family viewing beginning at 6PM followed by public visitation from 7PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 9AM until 11AM. A funeral service honoring Felipe’s remarkable life will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:00AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana.
