Felicita Canales Encarnación falleció pacíficamente el lunes 28 de septiembre de 2026, a la edad de 98 años. Nació en Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, el 2 de mayo de 2026, hija de Jacinto Canales y Petra Encarnación.

Fue esposa de Víctor Fuentes Ayala; madre de Marta, Víctor (hijo), Roberto y Elizabeth; abuela de Luis Roberto, Karla, Rayda, Camille, Diana, Amiley, Roberto (hijo), Randall, Luis Antonio y Luis Orlando; y bisabuela de Sarimar, Isamar, Abimar, Alondra, Jhuanllescka, Pahola, Jodian, Lia, Tiana, Jade, Jorge (hijo), Cameron, Laurelys, Anthony, Leanther, Daryangely, Yeidimar, Orleanys y K'niel. Le sobreviven también sus sobrinos y sobrinas, así como maravillosos amigos de toda la vida.

Oriunda de Río Piedras y orgullosa residente de Loíza durante más de setenta años, Felicita se graduó de la Escuela Superior Carlos Escobar López. Fue una mujer exitosa y muy respetada en todos los lugares donde trabajó en el área de San Juan y Loíza.

Felicita era una persona amable, compasiva y cariñosa, que trataba a todos con amor y consideración. Disfrutaba de la naturaleza; sus mejores viajes fueron aquellos en los que podía admirarla. Fue una gran servidora del Señor, dedicada a ayudar a los demás tanto en su comunidad como en su iglesia. Sin embargo, su verdadera pasión era pasar tiempo con su amorosa familia. 

Felicita era única e irreemplazable, muy respetada y querida; todos los que la conocieron y la amaron la extrañarán profundamente.Su espíritu y su naturaleza bondadosa perdurarán en los numerosos recuerdos de sus queridos amigos y familiares hasta el día en que vuelvan a reunirse con ella.

Felicita Canales Encarnación passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 98. She was born in Río Piedras, PR, on the 2nd of May, 2026 to Jacinto Canales y Petra Encarnación.

She was the wife of Víctor Fuentes Ayala; the mother of Marta, Víctor Hijo, Roberto and Elizabeth; the Grandmother of Luis Roberto, Karla, Rayda, Camille, Diana, Amiley, Roberto Hijo, Randall, Luis Antonio and Luis Orlando; and great grandmother of Sarimar, Isamar, Abimar, Alondra, Jhuanllescka, Pahola, Jodian, Lia, Tiana, Jade, Jorge hijo, Cameron, Laurelys, Anthony, Leanther, Daryangely, Yeidimar, Orleanys and K'niel. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and wonderful lifelong friends.

A native of Río Piedras, and proud resident of Loíza for over seventy years. Felicita graduated from Carlos Escobar Lopez High School. Felicita was successful and well respected in every place she worked in the San Juan and Loiza area.

Felicita was a kind, compassionate, and caring person, who treated everyone with love and consideration. She enjoyed nature; her best trips were those where she could admire it. She was a great servant of the Lord, dedicated to serving others in both her neighborhood and her church. However, her passion was spending time with her loving family. Felicita was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of her cherished friends and family until they meet her again.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by Southern Grace Hospice.
