Evelyn Weaver Stagni

Evelyn Weaver Stagni, a resident of Terrytown, LA passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025 at the age of 93 years with her family by her side. Evelyn was the beloved wife of the late Francis (Frank) Stagni. Throughout her life, Evelyn was a source of love and strength for her family. She was a devoted mother to her children Keith Stagni (Theresa), Debbie Stagni (Frank), Karen Fernandez (Kenny), Tony Stagni (Tonia), and Carol Macera (Joey). She was much loved by her grandchildren Kristy, Robert, Jeffrey, Mary Beth, Stephen, Candice, John, Patrick, Nick, Vinny, Shae and Maddy, and her 12 great grandchildren. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Her family was her greatest accomplishment, and she created a happy and loving home. Evelyn was known for her joy in life, her kindness, and her generosity. She had boundless energy and loved to cook, garden, travel, and line dance. Each year she enjoyed Mardi Gras and attended as many parades as possible. She was a long standing member of the Theta Golden Age Club and Honky Tonk Stompers. Her ability to make everyone feel welcome and a part of the family was admired by all who knew her. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Hortense Weaver, her siblings Clare Weaver, Mary Bannon, and Ernie Weaver and her great granddaughter Anna Beth Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Road, Terrytown, LA 70056, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 12pm, with visitation from 10am to 12pm. Interment will be held privately.
