Ethelyn Broussard Holder

Ethelyn Broussard Holder went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2026 a the age of 90. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Beloved wife of the late Marion Holder for 73 years. Mother of Phillip Keith Holder (Ann), John Holder (Karen), Timmy Holder (Lisa) and Jimmy Holder (Glenda). Grandmother of Chris Holder, Kim (Garen), Mike (Kylene), Beth (Ryan), Chris B., John (Michelle), Eric (Carlie), Barbara, Daniel, Chelsea (John), C.J., and Brandon. Also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Daughter of the late Marguerite "Maggie" Bergeron Broussard and Murphy Leon Broussard. Also preceded in death by Phillip Keith Holder Jr.  Age 90 years, a native of Abbeville, and resident of Gonzales, LA. Ethelyn was a devoted parishioner of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Gonzales. She was an avid artist and musician who will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all. 

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 1:30 PM. Visitation will be held from 11:30 until mass time. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
