Errol Joseph “Bo” Naquin died on April 28, 2025, at the age of 60, surrounded by his family at home in Marrero, Louisiana. He was born on May 14, 1964, in New Orleans. Bo was preceded in death by his father, Errol Naquin, and by his grandparents: Lawrence Naquin, Leonise Leonard Naquin, Anna Rudolph Darder, and Paris Darder, all of Marrero. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Kimberly Hardy Naquin; his mother, Alice Dardar Naquin; his brother, Bryan Naquin (Tanya), all of Marrero; his children, Beaux Naquin of Marrero and Ashley Naquin Jaubert (Joseph) of Arnaudville; and his grandchildren, Gabriella Mihail, Kilee Mihail, and Zelda Jaubert; and also his nieces and nephews. A true Louisianian, Bo embraced all the state had to offer—fishing, hunting, music, and cooking. His seafood boils were legendary, and his warmth and humor brought people together. He was an avid and accomplished guitarist. He had a sharp wit, a generous heart, and a presence that filled the room. He grew up as the elder of two sons in Marrero and spent much of his life at the family’s retreat outside Westwego— “Da Camp”—where he fished, cooked, and shared time with those he loved. He graduated from John Ehret High School and later attended trade school, where he studied metalwork and automotive refinishing. Over time, Bo became a master ironworker and artisan, known for crafting railings, lighting fixtures, and furniture that now grace homes and historic buildings throughout New Orleans and beyond. His work helped preserve the city’s architectural charm, and he took pride in contributing to its lasting beauty. He was happiest when creating, building, or restoring—always with purpose and passion. Above all, Bo was devoted to his family and deeply proud of his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. He lived as a man who never sat still, always had a project in motion or a story to tell, and treasured every gathering, every meal, and every memory shared with those he loved.
