God looked around his garden and He found an empty place. He then looked upon the earth and saw her beautiful face.
Ena Cooper Bodden went to be with her Lord on Dec 25, 2022. Born Oct. 26, 1957, on Utila Bay Island, Honduras and resided in Marrero, Louisiana for the past 43 years.
She was a dedicated wife to Preston Rezuto Bodden, Sr for over 49 years; a loving mother to Preston Bodden, Jr., Phill Bodden, Sr., Karolina Whitefield and Shana Jimenez; cherished mother-in-law to Josie Bodden, Julian Jimenez, Jr., Kevin Whitefield and Desiree Elliott; even more a treasure to those who called her Memaw: Tyler Bodden, Bryce Bodden, Alexia Bodden, Gabriella Bodden, Cooper Bodden, Mark Haylock, Destinie Bodden, Phill Bodden, Jr., Jaiden Palma, Haven Jimenez, Laith Jimenez, Rome Jimenez and angel-baby Whitefield; Great-Memaw to TJ Bodden, Paisleigh Bodden, Leilani McGhee, Avianna Duffy, Phill Bodden III, Naomi Haylock and Matteo Haylock; and a bonus Memaw to many. Sister of Norma Cooper Gomez. Preceded in death by her parents, Jackie Cooper and Nellie Jane Rubi Cooper, brother Modesto “Rodas” Cooper.
Her heart was full and it overflowed onto all who knew her. When not with her family, or praising her Jesus, you could find her with a paintbrush in hand or getting down and dirty in her garden. Though we know she is walking the streets of gold, happy to be rejoicing with her Jesus, her absence is a huge void here on earth.
A limb has fallen from our family tree. We will remember the best times, the laughter, the love.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take a moment to hug your loved ones for a moment, an hour, or a day. Time waits for no one.
