Elton "E.J." Joseph Barrilleaux, Jr.

Elton “E.J.” Joseph Barrilleaux, Jr., at the age of 62, passed away Monday December 14th, 2020. He was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Marrero Louisiana. Beloved son of Elton Joseph Barrilleaux Sr. and the late Marion Bourgeois Barrilleaux. Grandson to the late John C. & Bernadette Bourgeois and Wartell & Claire Naquin Barrilleaux. Brother of Bonnie Ingle (Frank), He is preceded in death by sisters Nancy B. Keir and Carol B. Gooden and is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including 3 Godchildren, Troy Barrilleaux, Melissa Ingle and Austin Carman (A.J. & Tanya). The closest E.J. had to a brother was his best friend A.J. Carman. After graduation, E.J. worked as a mechanic and later owned a lawn care business. For the last 10 years he worked side by side with A.J. as a boat mechanic. In his free time, he loved to fish, hunt, build models cars, collect old coins, sitting by a bonfire talking with friends and listening to his album collection. E.J. had a kind and loving heart and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Private service held by the family.
