Elroy Paul Ledet

Elroy Paul Ledet entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2026. Beloved husband of Sarah Parnell Ledet for almost 65 years. Father of Kelly Orozco (Hector) and the late John Ledet (Suzette). Grandfather of Krysten Theriot (Matthew) and Kacie Genusa (Brennan). Great-grandfather of Lennan Theriot, Malcolm Genusa, and Molly Genusa. Son of the late Clarence Ledet and Bertha Schroeder Ledet. Brother of the late Gerald Ledet (Lola) and Deborah Kottman. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age 87 years, a native of New Orleans and resident of Gretna, LA and recently Carriere, MS since 2013. Elroy was a Veteran of the United States Air Force having worked as an Aircraft Mechanic for the majority of his service, with the last 10 years serving as the head of Quality Assurance.  At the time of his retirement, he had achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was an avid golfer and past member of both Riverlands Country Club in Laplace and also Timberlane Country Club in Gretna.  As a long-time former member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Orleans, LA he spent many hours serving in several capacities, and was currently a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Picayune, MS.  He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 1:30 PM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until service time.
