Eleanor V. Richard, a jewelry maker peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of 75 years to Lester Richard. Daughter of the late Robert Vige and Rosa Joubert Vige. Loving mother of Gloria Rivet, Norma Jeanne’ (Tommy) and Donald Richard (Darlene). Beloved grandmother of Jerret Carriere, Melissa Champagne, Donald Richard, Jr. Jennifer Damico and Daniel Damico. Great Grandmother of Brett Babineaux, Jerret Carriere, Jr., Karley Waker, McKenzie Romero, Sean Damico, Ava Damico, Brooklyn Willis and Breanna Helms. Great Great Grandmother of Bailei Babineaux and Mary Carriere. Beloved sister of Dorothy Lasseigne and the late Vernice Humphrey. Eleanor is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was born in St. Landry Parish and was a resident of Marrero, LA. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Canon Hospice for their love and care given to Eleanor. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum (Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery), Westwego, LA.
